Reality TV: Vices and Virtues

Sat 18 May, 13:45 – No.70 Oxford Street

75 mins - £7/£5 conc

Reality TV - love it or loathe it, is a TV format that's going nowhere. From its origins with Big Brother to shows about love, sex, tattoo removal and eating insects (to name just a few), we discuss the vices and virtues, the progression and occasional regression, of this worldwide entertainment phenomenon and what lies ahead.

We will be joined by a panel featuring Professor Helen Wood (Academic and Author of Reality TV and Class to Reality), Kenneth Longden (Lecturer in Television and Media, University of Salford) and Kimberly Bond (Writer, Radio Times), chaired by TV journalist, Emma Bullimore.
