Join us for an intimate and no doubt inspirational Q&A with Chris Lunt, local writer of the hit ITV series PREY starring John Simm and Philip Glenister. This Q&A session will be chaired by writer Lisa Gifford.

Chris Lunt - Writer

Chris has written since 2000, eventually turning professional in April of 2010.

Since then he has won commissions from the BBC, ITV, Canal +, Red Productions, Drama Republic, Look Out Point, World Productions, Leopard Drama, Lionsgate, Slim Film and TV, Wall 2 Wall and Eone.

His debut series, PREY was produced by Red Productions and was broadcast on ITV to great critical acclaim in April and May of 2014, it was followed by season two in December 2015. 

Chris was nominated for two Bafta and two RTS awards for his work on PREY, he was also named a Bafta Breakthrough Brit of 2014.

Chris has recently established NUKE FROM ORBIT, with business partner, Mike Walker (COLLISION),

NUKE FROM ORBIT is a company aimed at putting the writer at the heart of scripted development and has signed a first look deal with Entertainment One. Current projects include THE VIPER HOUSE, and a US based reimagining of PREY.

As well as their development work, Chris and Mike will be acting as co-lead writers and co-showrunners on the upcoming television series DIABLO for Sky Italia and Lionsgate.

Lisa Gifford - Writer and Moderator

Lisa is currently writing on BBC continuing drama EASTENDERS, having successfully completed their Shadow Scheme in 2016.


She has also recently written the screenplay for forthcoming horror feature film QUAIL HOLLOW for Templeheart Films.


Lisa was the winner of the 2014 US Indie Series Award for Best Drama Writer for her digital series 3SOME, which has had over 3.5m views worldwide.


She was a finalist in the Funny Women Awards 2015 for her comedy pilot SUPERMUM.


Her current TV projects cover a range of genres, from comedy drama to political thriller, and she is also developing a new crime drama feature.
