Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire (The Simpsons S1E1)

Christmas seems doomed for the Simpson family when Homer receives no holiday bonus. Hoping to make extra money, he becomes a mall Santa Claus in an attempt to bring the family a happy holiday. This is the very first Simpsons episode and to this day remains one of the shows best, and TV's best Christmas episodes full stop!

Christmas Party (The Office US S2E10)

It's time for the Christmas party in the Scranton Branch of Dunder Mifflin! Things seem to be going well until it is revealed that Michael has gone well over the agreed spending limit for secret santa which sends the whole affair into chaos, ruining Jim's special plans for Pam's christmas surprise. Full of hilarious and heart warming moments, Christmas Party is everything we love about The Office and everything we need in a truly great Christmas episode rolled into one!

A Very Sunny Christmas (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia S6E13)

After years of being mistreated by Frank during the holiday season when he buys gifts for himself, Dennis and Dee decide to teach him a lesson by contacting his old business partner, Eugene, for help to make the mean-spirited and nihilist Frank see the Christmas spirit of giving, rather than taking. Meanwhile, Mac and Charlie reflect on their childhood Christmases, and realize that they were not as joyous and wonderful as they remembered. A festival tale just as perfectly twisted as the gang from Paddy's, this is one of our favourite alternative Christmas episodes!

My Own Personal Jesus (Scrubs S1E11)

It is Christmas time and no one except Turk feels like celebrating the Hospital. Cox gets J.D. to video the birth of a friends baby, and once again, nothing seems to go quite as planned. This is an excellent episode showing parts of the world that don't and can't stop on Christmas and how it affects those giving up their festive period for the good of others; obviously in the slightly surreal and hilarious way that only Scrubs can!

The One With The Holiday Armadillo (Friends S7E10)

Ross wants to introduce his son Ben to Chanukah but in failing to find any jewish figures as exciting as Santa, he has to create his own. Meanwhile Phoebe tries to entice Rachel to move back into their refurbished apartment, by attempting to drive a wedge between Rachel and current roomie Joey. As with all the best Friends Christmas episodes this features Ross doing his best and looking his most ridiculous, most definitely a festive classic!
